Modes

Use to toggle between Practice Mode and Compete Mode.

In Practice Mode the control panel looks like this:

Practice mode

Drag the target with the mouse to set it at a comfortable distance for your practice session. Draw the bow back and aim using the mouse. Then let go of the mouse button to shoot.

There are 10 circular regions on the target. Hit the center orange dot and get 10 points. The second orange ring gets you 9 points, the inner red ring 8, the outer red ring 7, and so on to the outer white ring, which is worth 1 point. The SCORE window at the bottom shows the score for each shot and resets to 0 as you draw the bow again. Be careful! You may lose 5 points for hitting stuff other than the target.

Here’s what each part of the control panel shows and does:

Score

Your score appears in the SCORE window.

Angle

ANGLE shows the angle at which you aim the arrow. Horizontal is 0 degrees. SPEED increases as you draw the bow back more.

Wind speed

You can set the wind speed and direction with this slider. The pennant on the flagpole indicates the setting.

Trials

Click TRAILS to see a dashed line showing the path your arrow takes as it flies through the air. Click this button again to turn TRAILS off.

Bow forces
