Review Criteria

SEED Journal

The review criteria for the SEED Journal are similar to those used by judges in the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).

SEED Journal reviewers will be looking at how well you

  • present the problem,
  • review background literature,
  • design and execute a research plan or engineering project plan,
  • evaluate results and outline plans for future research or development,
  • present the project as Web pages or as a print document.

In order to be accepted for publication in the SEED Journal projects must be judged satisfactory or exceptional in all of the following categories:

  • creative ability
  • scientific thought or engineering goals
  • thoroughness
  • skill
  • clarity
  • teamwork (if it is a team project)

If you are also interested in entering a project in an Intel Science & Engineering Fair (iSEF) look at the Intel ISEF Student Handbook.
