I joined Schlumberger in 1989, in Physics Lab Schlumberger Montrouge Research as research scientist. I was involved in designing static water and gas meters.
In 1997 I became a manager of Mechanics Lab of Montrouge Technology Center. In January 2002 I joined Technical Support Department of Schlumerger Product Center as section manager of Simulation & Modeling Group.
After my Ph.D. work I spent few years on post doctoral research: in Weizmann Institute (Israel), University of Nice (France) and KFA (Kernforschunganlage) in Germany. I was working mainly on hydrodynamic stability and phase transitions.
I was always attracted to science in general. I can not really say why, except that my father is a chemist and he had a big influence on me. He held science and learning in highest esteem. At the end of high school I proceeded by elimination: medical profession seemed to me to full of responsibilities that I was not ready to assume, engineering was to full of ready to use formula’s, and I wanted to understand the true basics of things. So it was physics that attracted me most.
I got really interested in technology after I joined Schlumberger. And I found a passion for it. Now I not only merely want to understand how things work, but also how they can work better and cheaper.
My big interests are healthy living through diet and life style, history, languages. My hobbies are gardening, science fiction.
