I grew up in France, Tunisia and Algeria. I became interested
in science and technology at the age of seven when I dismounted
the mechanical clock of my parents. Much later, my plasma
physics degree opened my horizons to include controlled fusion,
cosmology and astrophysics.
Following a year of research work with the French Atomic
Commission I joined Schlumberger in 1972. I have been a Field
Engineer, Technical Manager, Line Manager, Marketing Manager,
Interpretation Development Manager, Quality Manager, and now
Quality Health Safety Environment Manager. I have worked in
France, Sweden, Germany, Denmark, Norway, USA, Australia,
Singapore, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar,
Yemen, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Nigeria, and
Colombia.
I was recently elected President-elect of the Society of
Professional Well Log Analysts. I am the author of the textbook
Log Data Acquisition and Quality Control.
