I was born in Toronto, Ontario Canada on Christmas day 1974. I spent most of my childhood moving in and around the southern Ontario region with my family. I first became interested in sports, going to see a Blue Jays game with my Grandfather when I was six years old. Since then, I have grown to love to play baseball, soccer, hockey, skiing, golf, tennis and raquetball. Baseball has always been my first love, and every summer I played and or coached on a number of teams.

In Highschool and University I went on to coach the Varsity school teams.

In August of 1996, I joined Anadrill Schlumberger as a Drilling Services Engineer. The lifestyle of working on oil rigs made it difficult to commit to any organized team. For the next three years, I moved between the US, Venezuela, Colombia and Mexico. In 1999 I was assigned to Lafayette LA as a Field Services Manager. In my first stable office job, I was able to start playing baseball again, this time together with my co-workers in Drilling and Measurements. Even though I was not able to play a lot of sport when I was working as a field engineer, I was able to develop in other ways: learning about new cultures and picking up a second language.

My love of sports has always been a release for me. Running out on a playing field, and getting engulfed in a competition is the best tonic I know to deal with a long hard day at work. The sense of comraderie and the joy of playing the game keep me coming back for more.
